As the heart beats, the usual Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor in LGS new baby, the operating system to Windows XP was decided.

With all these features is the LG Netbook with the working title X120 – the actual baptism is still pending – yet nothing special, a little more than the usual-Neveau Netbook features like it should be smart or smart-on-link lift. Smart-On is an interface to the lightning-fast access to frequently used programs – without having to fully boot the computer must wait. And Smart Link LGS is quick and secure solution for data or program installation via USB cable. That sounds good until everything gene, since one can only hope that adoption of the still Netbook will not be too much into money’s.

So if you need a netbook with a 3G data plan, this would be an excellent deal, otherwise committing to $60/month service with AT&T does not sound as such a bargain at all.

In addition to Imperial Black, Angel White, Loving Pink and Special Love, you can now get the Wind U100 netbook in Cherry Red. It is a rich color that inspires passion, mobility and energy, and the ultra-compact 10-inch netbook that weighs just 1Kg is obviously aimed at young girls.

Speaking of technical specifications of the newcomer, it’s all the same as in traditional MSI Winds U100. The laptop comes with a 160GB hard disk, 5200mAh 6 cell battery, wireless a/b/b connectivity and Bluetooth support for short-range wireless transfers from and to compatible gadgets. Like all the other netbooks, MSI Wind U100 is powered by the energy-efficient 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processing technology. One good piece of news for all the Vista haters out there would be that the laptop comes with Windows XP installed on it (which is actually a reasonable move since it would run terribly slow on Vista).

When asked about how were going sales of small PC / laptop offered by Asus, the answer could only be “fine”. It seems the reorganization of Eee-PC is weekly, in order to mitigate the policy of low stock, which could create some problems of availability.

Unlike what we thought, the breakdown of Eee-PC between Linux and Windows XP turns sharply in favor of Microsoft operating system that covers 80% of requests. Some cases of acquisition of Linux version also were purchased only because the latest model available, with the promise by the buyer that it would install Windows XP.

Regarding the Eee-Box Instead, the shops are gone cautious buying only 5 / 7 units, all disappeared within 2 days and reordered by the chain to respond to requests. In this case, however, the domain Microsoft is total; none of the customers had chosen an Eee-Box with Linux.

It is the first Medion’s product in the line of cheap netbooks, and it is based on already popular MSI Wind. The 10-inch Akoya Mini E1210 sports an ultra-efficient 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 mobile processor and an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card that renders image at 1024 x 600 pixels. It’s backed up by a relatively small 80 GB hard disk and 1GB of DDR2 memory which par for the low price segment of this netbook. The system also comes with a memory card reader, two USB ports, VGA-out port, Ethernet connector, webcam and audio sockets. Unlike with MSN Wind, the E1210 does not support Bluetooth, however with Medion 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi incorporated, it certainly offers better wireless connectivity at faster speeds which mobile users are certainly going to like.

The other difference from MSI Wind is that the Akoya Mini E1210 has Windows XP Home pre-installed, along with Corel WordPerfect Office X3. This may explain why it’s priced a little higher than MSI Wind, which translates to about $640 in the US market.
