LG Electronics has introduced a new Desktop PC for business users with additional level of security that might be useful in restricting access to corporate resources – a built-in fingerprint reader. Before that, fingerprint readers were only available with laptops, so this LG’s PC would be first desktop that has this feature.

If it is crucial to a company to allow access to its network exclusively to authorized users, nothing gets better that biometric safety features when only users who pass the finger print check are allowed to log in. The computer is configured to have enough performance for typical office tasks and comes with Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor, 512MB RAM, 160GB HDD, Multimedia Keyboard, Optical Mouse and 17-inch display. By default, Microsoft XP is installed on this machine, but it’s possible to upgrade to Vista should there be a need for that.
