Inexpensive dual-core, quad-core chips adds Intel’s
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008Silently updated Intel its processor price list over the end this week, 45nm make an addition to its economy quad-cores, this dual-core chip is a new entry-level, and an advance to the Celeron D family.
The tried-and-true Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor now has a similarly inexpensive option from Intel that’s based on a 45nm fab. The latest Core 2 Quad Q8200 is the 1st of Intel’s Q8000 cycle, 2.66GHz running with 1,333MHz bus in front-side and with only 4GB of L2 cache.
