It is very possible that in the next 2 weeks a new product will be unveiled that will make electronic devices more energy efficient. A new technology based on gallium nitride has been announced by Transphorm, a Google-backed startup, that could eliminate the bulky charging adapters for laptops.

The new electronic devices will be based on gallium nitride that wastes far less power than traditional silicon components. As a result, they will produce less heat and won’t need massive cooling systems. Not only the power adapters will become smaller in size, they can be eliminated altogether as all needed electronics will fit into the laptop chassis.
