At IFA 2008 this week, Fujitsu Siemens demo’d its Amilo Mini UI3520 notebook.
Not at all bad looking the compact laptop’s, through its features is straight down the small line, inexpensive Computer. It has an Intel Atom N270 processor 1.6GHz; 1024 x 600 display, 8.9-inch, 1GB of DDR2 memory; 1.3 MP webcam, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi;
However, the Mini UI3520 has some features the divide it out from the SCC mass. For starters, it comes with a 32 slot ExpressCard, and supports its memory card reader to different varieties of Memory Stick, not just SDHC.
The USP Amilo’s is a clip-on cover, but the ones on show where underwhelming: they just sit on peak of the Amilo’s lid rather than changed it the way pop-off cell phone faceplates do.
More beneficial is the mini laptop’s incorporation of a Bluetooth 2.1 sub-system, something not several notebooks have.
Amilo notebook comes with a 4-cell, battery standard 2200mAh. It’s better for around 4 hour runtime, FS claimed. Its suggestion price will be €400 ($594/£323).
