Some modifications has made MSI to its Wind line of Small, inexpensive Computers, the storage capacity upping of the standard model and launching a cheaper model.

The economical Wind matches the spec of its pricier stable mates but comes in at $485
(£269/€332) instead of $593 (£329/€406) by upcoming pre-loaded with Linux and sporting an 8.9-inch, the display is1024 x 600 instead of a 10in screen.

The latest model, dubbed the U90, it comes an 80 GB HD. Currently, the 10-inch model, the U100, quickly gets a HD upgrade, to 120GB – the better to fight with competitor SCCs, most remarkably Acer’s Aspire One.

Too much for 120GB’s – or the cost is – but you still want a 10-inch screen, then what about the new Pink U100 that exchanges hard drive capability for price. It’s an 80GB model but price £10 less than the U100: £319 ($575/€393).

The entire machines come with a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom
processor, 1GB of memory, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, an Ethernet connecter, 3 USB ports, SDHC card slot and an VGA out.
