Computer Peripherals: ecological Lili Webcam
Green is in these days. Recycled goods and being nice to the environment have been en vogue for the past half-decade and with each year that need grows. Computers and computer accessories have never gotten on that bandwagon, mostly because people probably didn’t think it was possible. Well, United Pepper is changing all of that. The accessories company has created the Lili Webcam, made from as much sustainable and recyclable material as possible. 70% of the material used is fair trade (bought for fair prices so the laborers can be paid good wages) and much of the webcam is made from sand, cotton, and kapok. Plus, the packaging is recycled.
The webcam is 1.3 megapixels and comes with a microphone for chatting. The legs of the camera are flexible so you can bend it and move it around with ease. The sound and picture is good and you can feel good that you have contributed in some small way to the betterment of the Earth with your purchase, which is pretty darn cool. I like that it has a manual focus lens so you can get the look you want with ease. Hopefully more companies will get on the bandwagon and create green products just like this one.
