MacBook has ceased to be
It went almost unnoticed that a couple weeks ago Apple decided that MacBook had outlived its life and stopped producing it, leaving the MacBook range only with Air and Pro models. Not only that, it was decided to completely remove optical drives from the MacBook Air and Mini. With the launch of the latest download-only version of OS X operating system, the number of Mac users who need a DVD drive is only going to decrease, and Apple realizes that. Ditching a DVD drive will allow for making lighter ans thinner laptops. There are already laptops on the market, such as Chromebook, that are designed to work for the web only, and Apple is clearly going in that direction. So, if in the future you’re going to play a CD or a DVD on your MacBook Air, then you’ll need an external optical drive.
The Pro is going to retain the DVD drive for some more time, but it is obvious that it won’t last for too long.

Samsung to release a Chromebook on Jun 15-th
A new Chromebook produced by Samsung will be released in just a few days, on June 15. It will be a lightweight and small, 12.1-inch computer running Google’s own Chrome operating system, that is intended for mobile users.
