26 May 2007 No Comments

Intel Metro: one of the world's thinnest laptopsIntel and Ziba Design have just announced a newest Metro Notebook that’s going to be one of the thinnest laptops in the world. Being only 0.7 inches thick, it has a magnesium case weighs around 2.2 pounds making it the lightest laptop in the world too. It hasn’t been decided on a screen size yet (I assume it’s going to have a 14-inch LED display), however it was announced that the laptop will have a secondary e-ink screen featuring SideShow technology. This screen on a back side of a laptop will display important information even when the laptop is in sleep mode or switched off.

Among other exciting features of Intel Metro notebook are: integrated fingerprint reader, ultra-fast SSD drive, built in webcam, noise cancelling microphones and cool backlit keyboard. Intel is going to start shipping the laptop this December, so stay tuned and grab it once it hits the market if you want to make your friends jealous.
