The Top 5 Laptops for Girls in 2011
A girl can use any laptop, of course, but it’s no secret that ladies have different tastes. They don’t want a big Alienware laptop that’s built for gaming, weighs a ton, and generates an incredible amount of heat (at least most girls don’t want that). Most girls want something that is sleek and slim and perhaps comes in a variety of colors so they can choose and make it their own. Perhaps even a laptop with a custom design. Here are five laptop choices that would be great for girls in 2011.
Acer Aspire One
The Acer Aspire One netbooks go to the top of the list because they’re so tiny and agile. They come in at less than three pounds so they can easily be slipped into a bag or even a big purse without dragging the girl down. It comes with a battery life of roughly five hours and the price is exceptionally low so you’re getting a great deal when you purchase one. On top of that, it comes in a whole mess of great colors like shades of pink, blue, white, and purple. It’s the perfect laptop for a girl that wants something small and fun.
White Macbook
Apple computers have gained hipness in recent years for the attention to aesthetics. The design is fantastic, in other words. They look great and the white color is often looked at by girls as ideal. The white Macbook has a 13 inch screen so it’s bigger than a netbook but that also means it comes with more computing power. It’s great if your girl is into media. Pictures and videos are easy to organize and edit with it. It’s also good for taking notes, writing papers, etc.
HP Mini
The HP Mini series goes above and beyond where looks are concerned. They offer a specialized look done by designer Vivienne Tam if your girl is especially concerned with her laptop looking good. In addition to a wide range of colors they also have a floral print you can put on your computer to spice things up a little. Their netbooks come in two sizes and they’re powerful enough to get most work done.
Tulip E-Go
The Tulip E-Go is an interesting choice because of its round shape. It’s fairly unique for a laptop and it will both make it stand out and offer a different style for an aesthetically driven girl. It feels more feminine with the soft lines instead of the hard edges. The colors can be changed and they have a few designs with crystals in them to make them sparkle.
X2 Stylebook
The makers of the X2 Stylebook set out to produce laptops specifically for girls and they came out with a line of great looks. The feminine nature of them is mostly in the color, of course, but they have a huge number of options. They also ship the laptop with matching carrying cases and bags so the girls can be coordinated. They are sure to look good and have a big smile with an X2 Stylebook.

“Stumbled” upon your post.
You are right when you say women, or at least me, don’t want a big gaming laptop. The last one I bought was a nice 14″ portable HP. Besides price, I wanted something reliable that I easily tote around.
I had an Ego, they are cute and pretty and expensive, bulky and heavy, but not reliable. Although I agree with you, they stand out and have such great lines and pretty designs. I had Mac, Acer and HP as well and would say they are much more reliable for girls or anyone. Nice list of laptops!
I stumbled this post.
Fun!
Stumbling you back!

The Tulip E-Go is super cute, but I wouldn’t trade in my HP 17 inch screen! Btw, I stumbled back.
I would love to get a new laptop and a couple of these look great to me! I agree with wanting something lightweight but I don’t care how pretty it is – I just need it to work. Thanks for the stumble – I’ve stumbled this post.
Nice selection! Some day I will convert to Mac and get the white MacBook – way to expensive, but such a great design!

I am one of those “girls” who would run the other way rather then be caught carrying around a pink laptop. Still, nice list!
