The New York Times: Laptop in School
New York Times has posted an article for students that are going back to school with the review of different electronic gadgets. The time when getting ready for school meant buying stationery are long gone. Today’s teenagers are going to school with laptops and cellphones. At the same time, more and more schools and universities are starting to implement presentation tools that utilize electronic gadgets as learning aids by engaging students into interactive activities. It makes possible for students to take part in discussions electronically which is particularly good for teens that are too shy to speak up in class. Some teachers even request students to maintain their social network accounts (such as facebook) and encourage them discussing subjects there.
So electronic participation has absolutely become a crucial way to improve the learning experience and it becomes more and more evident that one can’t even think of going to college without a laptop these days.
