Photo contest: win a $100 Amazon gift card from Laptop HQ
It is the season to buy gifts and wrap presents, and Laptop HQ is very pleased to announce the holiday “Pet with a laptop” photo contest. Our previous post about cats with laptops saw a definite success, so we decided to do something of that kind on our own.
We invite all our readers who are fascinated both about cool laptops and cute pets (is there anyone who isn’t, anyway?), to enter the photos that illustrate this theme for a chance to win a $75 or $100 Amazon gift card. The contest is open mostly to amateurs, but professional photos will be also welcomed.
The rules.
Nothing too fancy here.
- The contest will start on Dec 15-th , 2011 and run till Dec 31-st, 2011.
- One winner will be announced on January 2-nd, 2012. The most cute / funny / unusual photo will win, according to the discretion of Laptop HQ owner
- The price for the contest will be a $75 Amazon Gift card. If the winner also makes a post about this contest in some forum or his/her blog, the prize will be bumped to $100 (see below)!
- The picture submitted for the contest must be shot by the participant and should obviously showcase a laptop and a pet.
- One contestant may submit up to 5 different photos.
- The authors of the photos grant Laptop HQ a right to republish the pictures later in one of posts.
The directions.
- Shoot / find in your archives a photo of a pet with a laptop. It can be any pet (not necessarily yours) and any laptop.
- Go to ImageShack and upload your picture.
- Copy the HTML code from “HTML Thumbnail” text box:
- Reply to this post and paste the code you copied in the previous step into a comment box.
- (optional) To be eligible to win $100 instead of $75, please help spread the word about this contest and make a post with a hyperlink to this contest at your blog or write about it at a forum that you are an active member of. Then insert the URL of the post that you made into “Website” field.
- Be sure to state your e-mail address. If you are picked as the contest winner, it will be used to send you the gift card code.

I submitted my comment/entry on Sunday 12/31 at 7:10pm pacific time (it’s currently 8:10pm), just clarify as for some odd reason it’s “January 1. 2012 at 3:10am.” I’m not in Europe or using the DeLorean.
