Philips X53 Laptop
I was one of those who wouldn’t know that Philips produced laptops in the first place, so the news that they introduced a new model, the 12.1-inch widescreen Philips X53, to their line of ultra portable notebooks, didn’t come unnoticed. Built on it a 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo T2050 Processor, the Philips X53 comes with 1GB of RAM, a 80GB hard drive, an integrated Intel GMA950 graphics card with up to 224 MB of shared memory and a DVD burner. The operating system installed on the Philips X53 is Windows XP Home SP2, with a possibility to upgrade to the newest Vista. The laptop hasn’t appeared in major electronic stores yet, but with such an attractive design and specification, it’s definitely worth buying. In the US the laptops will be available under the Averatec brand.
