MSI X-Slim X320 and X340 in detail

Even though MSI have presented their new laptops based on Intel CULV platform at CeBIT 2009 in Hanover, Germany, their full specifications haven’t been available to public until now. Recently MSI have revealed some new photographs and additional information of their ultra portable MSI X-Slim X320 and X340 notebooks. These models are very similar in design, but different on the hardware side. The X340 is distinguished by the presence of an HDMI-out and 2 USB ports, while the X320 has 3 USB ports. The MSI X-Slim X340 is based on Intel CULV platform (Intel GS45 chipset and Intel Core Solo SU3500 1.4GHz processor), has up to 2GB DDR2 667/800 MHz RAM, and a 2.5-inch SATA 5400rpm hard disk varying in capacity from 250 to 500 Gigabytes.
The display of the notebooks controlling is a 13.4-inch WXGA LCD with a HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and there’s a 1.3 megapixels webcam sitting on the edge of the display. The integrated graphics card is powered by Intel GMA 4500MDH chip. There’s also a built-in memory card reader, b/g/n Wi-Fi, optional 3G modem, WiMAX (optional), Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, HDMI, VGA-out, audio jack, Ethernet and USB 2.0 ports. Weighing only 1.3 kilograms with a 4-cell battery, the notebooks measure 330x224x19.8 mm. MSI confirms that the notebooks will start shipping this May in 3 different colors: white, black and gold. The price tag for the X320 model is going to start at $700.
