LG P430 and P530: Ultra-Slim Blade Laptops

Two new ultra-slim P430 and P530 Blade series high end laptops were unveiled by LG, making them a challenge to other slim line laptops on market, such as MacBook Air and Samsung’s 9 Series. Both laptops are powered by the newest Intel Core i7 processors with Nvidia GeForce GT520M graphics, at the same time they are only 23.8 mm thick. LG P530 laptop offers a 15.6-inch LED LCD screen and weighs 4.85lbs (2.2 kg) while the P430 model has a smaller 14-inch display.

The new laptops utilize bezel LCD screen technology developed by LG, that allows for the screen to be as thin as only 4.5 mm making Blade laptops about 20% slimmer than the competing notebooks in the same class. The laptops will be rolled out at the end of May (the P430) and a month later for the 15.6″ model.

LG XPion R10MP desktop PC

LG Electronics have launched a new desktop PC in a slim case, the XPion R10MP. The computer is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo E8300 processor on Intel P45 chipset, and has 2GB of fast DDR3 memory, a GeForce 8500GT video card with 512MB RAM onboard and HDMI-out connection (the video card is good, but not enough for today’s action games) and a huge 1TG hard drive.

The XPion R10MP is designed with black-gloss finish and will definitely look great at your workplace. There’s a Super Multi DVD Writer and a multi-format 14-in-1 card reader. The operating system that comes pre-installed on this desktop is Microsoft Windows Vista.

LG electronics introduces a desktop computer with fingerprint security

LG Electronics has introduced a new Desktop PC for business users with additional level of security that might be useful in restricting access to corporate resources – a built-in fingerprint reader. Before that, fingerprint readers were only available with laptops, so this LG’s PC would be first desktop that has this feature.

If it is crucial to a company to allow access to its network exclusively to authorized users, nothing gets better that biometric safety features when only users who pass the finger print check are allowed to log in. LG XNote S900 Notebook

LG has released a new ultra-powerful entertainment notebook with a huge 19-inch screen and built-in Dolby Home Theater, the LG XNote S900. Fusion Garage has announced its own device for intuitive web browsing – the JooJoo internet tablet. It’s the direct rival of Apple’s iPad, and it claims to be the world’s largest capacitive touchscreen device.

This 12.1-inch tablet PC looks fantastic and it is designed primarily for wireless internet browsing. It’s boot time is only 9 seconds, and its full gesture-control interface makes web browsing as seamless as possible. It has a stylish aluminium chassis, an Intel Atom processor, 1024MB of RAM and a 4GB SSD, 801.11g wi-fi, 1.3-mpx webcam. A full size keyboard that appears on a screen is very convenient to use, a light sensor automatically controls screen brightness in accordance with ambient lighting and the screen automatically changes orientation when needed.

NEC releases a new heavy duty 3D desktop

NEC Corporation, one of Japan’s leading producers of monitors, has announced the launch of a new all-in-one desktop PC in June, the NEC Valuestar N VN790/BS. Initially it was promised that the 3D desktop will start shipping not earlier than in October 2010, but looks like NEC could not hold it back anymore.

The computer has a 20-inch 2D/3D capable display that has a resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels which is capable of displaying HD movies, photos and 3D action games. The desktop will be powered by the newest Intel’s 2010 Core processor and will come with 4GB of RAM installed (which can be upgraded to 8GB). There will be a huge 1TB hard disk for storing lots of HD video content, a Blu-ray drive, a wireless keyboard + mouse set and an integrated TV tuner with a remote control.
