HP Pavilion dv6500z under $1000

For less than $1000 you can have the HP Pavilion DV6500z, a dual core processor laptop with a 15.4″ display screen. The highest resolution it puts out is 1280×800 and the colors are vibrant. The picture is sharp and smooth but the shiny screen can be a little too reflective. You’ll have to be careful where you setup to use your laptop because there will be times when light or something else in the background will distract you entirely.

The laptop is great for video conferencing because of the webcam and microphone included. The DV6500z keyboard comes with a mouse touchpad and two buttons that proved to have just the right sensitivity. The keyboard is easy to use (lots of room to rest your wrists!). For security, there’s a fingerprint reader you can setup to ensure that only you’re allowed to start and use the laptop.
