Asus G1S: the gaming notebook
The Asus G1S is the first model in Asus’s G1 gaming laptop series built on Intel Santa Rosa platform. Featuring Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor and Geforce 8600M GT graphics card, this laptop surely delivers impressive performance that allows for watching HD movies or playing 3D games on its 15.4-inch 1,680x 1,050-pixel screen.
The Asus G1S has a distinctive design that combines high-gloss carbon fiber plastic and matte-black with a stress on bright green color. This color is used for WASD gaming keys of a full-sized keyboard, in a webcam and also in a light on a left side of a display that starts to flash when DirectX is activated (which certainly improves gaming experience). There’s a small LED display above the keyboard that displays current time and other useful information.
