25 February 2009 No Comment

The Dell Mini 10, the successor to the Mini 9, which is expected this week, should come out with a smaller amount of RAM set to “1 GB, which means according to Dell that it will not be possible to upgrade. Does this mean the RAM will be welded or attached to the motherboard? Nevertheless, it is undoubtedly the result of licensing limiitations imposed by Microsoft for the netBook.

Windows XP can’t be bundle with machines contain more than 1GB of RAM, as per Microsoft’s license system. Netbooks typically come with XP, as it is leaner and faster than Vista. With other models, however, the physical upgrade-which make netbooks much better when running multiple program or memory intensive ones like Photoshop is cheap and easy?
